Sea moss can be prepared in many ways, but it is most commonly used to create a gel which can be consumed or applied topically. In its gel form, sea moss can be consumed on its own or added to your favourite smoothies, protein shakes, teas and juices. Due to its versatile texture and minimal taste, sea moss gel can even be used as a salad dressing, dip for fruit, face mask, hair mask or as a vegan thickening agent when cooking soups and sauces.

Dry sea moss has a shelf life of approximately one year when stored in a cool, dry and dark space. Sea moss gel should be made or purchased in small batches, as it is best when used within three weeks but can last in the fridge up to 5 weeks. It must be kept sealed and refrigerated. Jars that come vacuum sealed preserved freshness until the jar is open. Please also use care to avoid cross contamination.

Freezing your sea moss gel can dramatically extended the shelf life from 1 month to 3 months. If you have a lot of sea moss gel and are worried about it going bad, we recommend scooping it into ice cube trays and freezing it.

Please note: Sea moss gel has been known to vary in spoilage and is not intended to be stored but rather to be consumed. Signs of spoilage include an odd pungent aroma or taste, slimy coating on top layer and/or mold. If you find mold or suspect spoilage please discontinue use and reach out immediately.

All sea moss is full of beneficial minerals and nutrients, but certain colours contain Phytonutrients which offer additional benefits that are unique to them.

Gold sea moss is the most commonly used and is the only colour that is sun-dried. It offers all the benefits of sea moss that we've come to know and love. It has very minimal smell and taste compared to the other colours.

Purple sea moss contains powerful antioxidants called Anthocyanins, which are commonly found in blue and purple fruits or vegetables. Anthocyanins are linked to health benefits such as stronger bones, a healthier heart, lower inflammation and protection against certain types of cancers. Purple sea moss is more rare to find and dried in a dark room to avoid losing it's unique colour and benefits.

Green sea moss is high in Chlorophyll, which is what gives plants their natural green colour. Chlorophyll is an all natural body deodorizer and detoxifier. It is also great for healing the skin and reducing bacterial growth in wounds. Green sea moss is also more rare to find and dried in a dark room to avoid losing it's unique colour and benefits.

Sea moss, itself, does not have a strong taste. If you're familiar with ocean food such as seaweed or certain seafood, we think you'll adapt just fine. We wash our sea moss thoroughly and soak it with key lime when preparing our sea moss gel, which helps to neutralize any of the ocean smell or taste.

AnGel Moss ships all products worldwide. Our primary courier is Canada Post to your domestic courier (ex: the U.S. would recieve it via USPS), FedEx as a secondary courier, and UPS as a tertiary courier. Courier options are deligated by best option and timeframe. You are charged solely based on best rate. Sea moss is a marine algae, please be advised of your local import regulations and any associated fees.

Shipping Costs

Shipping costs vary based on your country and selected shipping method. Your shipping costs are calculated accordingly at checkout.

Receiving Your Order

We'll send you a confirmation email with tracking once your order has shipped or a confirmation email with instructions if your order is ready for pick-up. Alternatively, we currently offer flat rate delivery options for the GTA (Greater Toronto Area). You can find the option for delivery by checking out with "Shipping" as your option, entering your address, and selecting "delivery" under "Shippping." Upon receiving your order, we ask that you inspect your items and place any sea moss gel products in the fridge or freezer as soon as possible. If you are not able to cool your sea moss gel immediately, please leave it in on the ice packs, in it's insulated container until a refridgeration is available. Returns & Exchanges

We currently do not offer returns or exchanges on our orders. This also applies to our retail partners. Due to our strict quality and safety protocols, we cannot resell any products that have left our facilities or warehouse.
